SeaVees, Meet Gekks. Gekks Meet your Summer Fling

For the very first Gekks Shoe Trials I paired Gekks with SeaVees, a shoe brand created in 1964 to bring the timeless casual sneaker into any social a air. I went with the Women’s Army Issue sneaker low in their color: Bleach. Wearing white has always been a dangerous element to me personally, but why not live life a little on the edge and try to brighten up my generally black wardrobe theme, right?

I ended up LOVING these shoes so much I opted out from wearing flip flops in that Chicago summer heat just so I could wear SeaVees! The great part is too, the Gekks (women’s medium sneakers for size 8 feet) I installed kept my feet from sweating and feeling stuffy from the humidity. It wasn’t as convenient as wearing flip flops but I’m a fan of the no sock searching and just slip-and-go lifestyle with these shoes. My feet didn’t smell and my Gekks remained clean after long days of exploring those Chicago food festivals! The biggest plus I found was that I just liked the way these shoes looked with all my outfits. It ranged from casual, a little dressy for work, and even to sporty!
SeaVees is definitely the shoe for how SeaVess would say, “a comfortable sneaker with the sophistication of a dressier shoe.” The exceptional quality of my SeaVees plus the convenience and comfort of my Gekks really set the bar high for any future Gekks Shoe Trials. If you catch me around the city, there’s a very high chance I’ll be showing up in SeaVees, cause I’ve met my summer solemate.
